About the event
The BGA Tour proudly presents the Dennis Friel Memorial at Beechfork Golf Club on Sunday, July 12th. This special event is held in honor of the late Dennis Friel, a dedicated and passionate golfer who was deeply involved in the local golf community.
The tournament will be played as a 2-Man Shamble, with players selecting their own partner. Both teammates will tee off on each hole, select the best drive, and then each player will play their own ball from that position through the hole. This format blends teamwork with individual shot-making and rewards well-rounded play.
All proceeds from the event will be donated directly to support the local middle school and high school golf teams, helping continue the growth of the game that Dennis cared so deeply about. Players can expect a competitive, meaningful, and well-organized event that honors his legacy while giving back to the next generation of golfers.
